This will be a rare opportunity to hear tremendously diverse music; from John King's solo shakuhachi piece in the Honkyoku style, to the Avant Garde texturalism of Toshi Ichiyanagi, plus the world premiere of TORIO possibly the first trio ever for shakuhachi, shamisen and piano by Douglas Cuomo. Also music by Karen Tanaka, Katsutoshi Nagasawa, and Mari Kimura. Please don't miss it.
