Donate to KSA
Support for Kyo-Shin-An Arts is needed for composer’s commissions, guest artists for ensembles, international travel costs, and operating expenses for the company itself.
Commissioning new music from composers is the essence of Kyo-Shin-An Arts’ programming, enabling us to build our distinctive partnerships. As do most music organizations, KSA relies almost entirely upon generous individuals to provide support for this core activity. Commissioning money from institutional sources is limited and competitive—and we are proud that two of our commissions, Here,Again by Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez and Shakuhachi Concerto by Paul Moravec, received commissioning support from Meet the Composer as part of a national series of works from Meet The Composer’s Commissioning Music/USA program, which is made possible by generous support from the Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust, the Francis Goelet Charitable Lead Trusts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York State Council on the Arts, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Helen F. Whitaker Fund.
Over the years, institutional funding has been provided by the Japan Foundation, the Cary Fund for New Music, the Aaron Copland Fund and the Cheswatyr Foundation. This season we add the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs.
